The Second Presentation Ceremony of Books on Isfahan School Went Underway

At the second presentation ceremony of books on Isfahan School, ten other books were presented.

Reported by the Public Relations of the Academy of Arts, the ceremony was held on Tuesday, February 6 at the cinematheque of Saba Cultural-Artistic Institute. At first, the director of the Academy of Arts Press remarked on the various aspects of the publications for Isfahan School Conference, "One of the prominent features of this conference is that the most of the books which were printed on the occasion of the conference are authored and the number of translated books were less than them and this point can be regarded as its distinctive feature of the publications for the conference," he said.



Next, Dr. Harati who himself has contributed to the book, The Collected Essays of the Isfahan Painting School gave an explanation on the book, "The Collected Essays of the Isfahan Painting School, has been edited to articulate some of the issues related to Isfahan school which have less been under consideration," he said.

Harati followed his speech with describing a section of the book titled, "Aqa Mirak Isfahani" written by him.

After that, Dr. Daneshpazouh accounted for the book, The Study of Safavid Travelogues and said: "More than any other historical times, in Safavid era the foreign ambassadors were traveling to Iran for political objectives, trading and even visiting the country, reciprocally Iranians were traveling to abroad. That situation led to writing a number of travelogues by thinkers and experts. The book, The Study of Safavid Travelogues contains 25 important travelogues which have been studied and analyzed."



The next lecturer, Dr. Khatami described the book, The Literary RestorationEra and Indian (Hindi) Style: "This book has been written as a kind of defense treatise of Indian (Hindi) style and asks why although the pioneers of the "Literary Return Period" claim that they have invented a new style, they had been influenced by the poets of Indian (Hindi) style," he stated.

Following the session, Dr. Radfar elaborated on the research collection, The Interaction of Literature and Art in Isfahan School: "Two main artistic schools, Herat school and Isfahan school have had very precious artworks and if we want to consider all these works, we realize that they are numerous," he said.

He carried out to introduce several instances of various literary works which in a way have been associated with different artistic forms.

The translator of the two volumes book, Isfahan in Iranian Studies Dr. Faramarzi accounted for the book and said: "This book contains 24 chapters and all the scholars of the Iran studies have contributed to this collection and have given their researches to be published in that. All the chapters of the book are comprehensive in the way that include the entire artistic styles."

Then Maestro Fallah made a speech on the manuscripts and specially Masnavi Ma'navi by Molana Rumi and said: "Written by Vesal Shirazi, This magnificent book, Masnavi Ma'navi is in Naskh script and has a very elegant format. The book contains 24 pages of tazhib (illumination) with a very excellent alloy."

Following the session, the books Isfahan; New Julfa, the Houses of the Armenians And New Julfa The Churches of The Armenian which are among the translated books on Isfahan school were introduced.

The translator of the books, Ms Sichani gave an explanation of the book, "Through considering the architectural aspects of Iranian and Isfahani resident houses, I realized that the most interesting sources are those which have been written by foreign scholars. The foretold books are among the main sources of this field," she said.

It must be pointed out that the ceremony wrapped up with the questions of the attendants which were answered by the masters.
