Indian Singers Recite Bidel's Poems at the Isfahan School Conference

“As a part of the music in Safavid era, Bidel and Taleba poems recitation will be considered at the Grand Isfahan School Conference,” said Fariba Afkari, Secretary of Music Department of Isfahan School, “these two forms of singing are among the specific musical arts in Safavid period and in fact belong to native musical forms in Iran. Unfortunately, this issue is rarely considered and we hopethat the Isfahan School Conference and articles that we have requested from scholars and masters on this issue prepare the ground for further studies,” she added.

She followed: “one of the programs of the Isfahan School Conference is the performance of these two specific kinds of music by a musical band aiming to objectify them along with the related theoric discussions.”

It must be pointed out that the Isfahan School Conference will be held in Tehran and Isfahan on the next December 10-14 and eight various artistic and literary fields in Safavid era will be considered during the conference.
