The
Cinematheque
of Saba
Cultural-Artistic
Institute
played
host to
the
press
conference
of
Isfahan
School
Grand
Conference.
The
session
was held
in
presence
of
several
executives
of the
conference
on
December
5.
As the
Public
Relations
of the
Academy
of Arts
reports,
at first
the
secretary
of the
Academy
of Arts,
Dr.
Bahman
Namvar
Motlaq
said:
"Isfahan
School
Conference
is the
most
important
scholarly
work
organized
by the
Academy
of Arts
since
the
establishment
of the
academy.
Compared
to
previous
conferences
held by
the
academy,
the main
feature
of this
conference
lies in
its
categorized
design."
Next Dr.
Namvar
Motlaq
introduced
and
accounted
for
various
departments
of the
conference,
"The
secretaries
of
scholarly
departments
of the
conference
have
been
introduced
for
eight
departments;
music,
calligraphy,
painting,
dramatic
arts,
handicrafts,
wisdom
and
philosophy,
architecture
and
literature.
The
departments
follow
their
activities
semi-independently
and a
head
office
coordinates
the
operations
of all
departments,"
he said.
The
secretary
of
calligraphy
department
at
Isfahan
School
Conference,
maestro
Qolam-Hussein
Amirkhani
commented
on the
scholarly
works in
respect
to
calligraphy:
"Isfahan
School
Conference
will
introduce
one of
the
prominent
schools
of
calligraphy
which
has
always
been
followed
in our
history
and will
be of
great
help for
us to
realize
our
cultural
and
artistic
values
again.
For
instance,
as a
great
master
of
calligraphy
in
Safavid
era,
Mir-Emad
has been
appointed
as the
center
of the
conference."
"In
terms of
research
and
scholarly
works,
calligraphy
has not
been
observed
that
much and
hadn't
find an
appropriate
status.
The
calligraphers
mostly
preferred
to spend
their
life and
talent
on their
artistic
career,"
he
added.
A member
of
scholarly
council
of the
conference,
Dr.
Hassan
Bolkhari
accounted
for the
selection
of
Isfahan
and
Isfahan
School:
"Regarding
the
development
of
religious
identity
in Iran,
Safavid
era is
an
absolutely
brilliant
age
which
for the
first
time in
Iran led
to a
political
and
religious
stability.
There's
a kind
of
aptitude
in
Isfahan
School
of
thinking
which
may be
considered
as a
sort of
talent
for
gathering
and
ability
to
constitute
a
school."
Following
the
session,
the
director
of the
Academy
of Arts
Press,
Ali-Reza
Esma'eili
explained
about
the
efforts
made for
publishing
the
books in
line
with
Isfahan
School
Conference.
"The
publications
for the
conference
in
proportion
with the
grandiose
of such
event
have
their
own
characteristics.
On the
occasion
of
conference,
more
than 50
books
are
printed
which
cover
various
artistic
and
literary
fields,"
he said.
"The
key
feature
of these
publications
is that
they are
mostly
written
and
edited
by local
masters
and
scholars.
Furthermore
we have
published
nearly
10
ancient
manuscripts
in the
field of
arts,"
Esma'eili
added.
At the
end of
the
session,
the
general
director
of
Isfahan
School
Conference,
Mohsen
Zare'a
said:
"At
these
conferences,
de-centralization
has a
particular
importance.
Various
provinces
have
responded
and
organized
the
pre-congresses
of
Isfahan
School
Conference
very
well
which
resulted
to gain
a
remarkable
attention
of local
an
international
institutes
and
organizations.
The
opening
ceremony
of the
conference
will be
underway
on
December
10-11 in
Tehran
at
Aseman
Cultural-Artistic
Complex.
